Chocolate Labs #4

By: Michael Russell

Article Word Count: 402

I think that, for my money, chocolate labs are maybe the best dogs that are out there. The thing about chocolate labs and Labrador retrievers is that they are smart, but not too smart, easy to train, and just as friendly as can be. If you get a chocolate lab, it will not only be a fun dog to teach tricks to and to play with, but it will even get along with your kids well, which can make everything so much easier. Chocolate labs are almost always great with kids, and provided you play with them enough, they will always be happy dogs until their dying day.

I have always thought that chocolate lab puppies were some of the cutest puppies of all. Although most puppies are cute, whenever I see chocolate labs for sale, it is all that I can do not to go out and get a new one or two. With their big floppy ears, and their little, adorable faces, how can you not love these little chocolate labs? I have three all ready, and I have been thinking about getting a fourth. I do not know how I will be able to resist much longer. They all get along so well.

Of course, you have to be aware that chocolate labs are not the perfect dog for everyone. It is a fact that chocolate labs, like golden retrievers, are very social dogs, and need a lot of attention, or else they will not do all that well at all. It is even said that it is possible for chocolate labs to die of loneliness, although I do not know if this is true or not, and I have never looked in to it that much. But the point is that, more than almost any other dog, chocolate labs need to be played with and paid attention to, or else they will not be happy dogs.

Of course, if you do not have a big house for them, or a lot of time to play along with them, you should consider getting another dog besides a chocolate lab. Either that, or find another option. There are many dog walkers out there, and quite a few of them just adore chocolate labs, and will actually love to walk your dog. They are so well behaved and friendly, that who would not want to walk them, after all?
